Election Rules and Procedures

Following the resolution approved by the World Triathlon Congress in 2021, World Triathlon introduces the Elections Rules and Procedures World Triathlon in the interest of World Triathlon, the Members (National Federations), their respective delegates and the candidates standing for election, that respect for “universal fundamental ethical principles”, one of the foundations of Olympism and the Sports Movement should prevail.
These Election Rules and Procedures are issued to govern the elections for all positions to be elected in the World Triathlon.

Nomination Process

1. National Federation Presidents and Secretary Generals; The Nomination Form was distributed via email. If you are unable to locate the form, please contact congress@triathlon.org
   1. If you need to amend or add a candidate, you can do so provided it is before the cutoff dates.

2. Each Candidate will then be sent a Candidate Form so they can enter all necessary information to be considered by the Credentials Committee for any position to be elected during Congress on 21 October 2024.

   1. Candidate Forms must be submitted prior to the cut off dates.
3. After each candidate has completed all mandatory sections of the nomination form, the form will be sent to the World Triathlon Credentials Committee to be validated. The Credentials Committee Chair will confirm validation with the National Federation.

The XXXVII World Triathlon Congress will be held at Palacio de Congresos de Torremolinos, C/ México 3, 29620 Torremolinos (Málaga), Spain.

Visa Information & Requests

If you plan to attend Congress in Torremolinos (ESP), please check here to confirm if you require a VISA. The Spanish Triathlon Federation issues invitation letters for visa applications. Please send the information below and a copy of your passport to Alicia Garcia, Secretary General of the Spanish Triathlon Federation, at alicia.garcia@triatlon.org and Lourdes Lopez at lourdes.lopez@triatlon.org.
