Biography

Japan’s Jumpei Kimura was born without full use of his legs and became Japan’s top paraswimmer, competing in the Paralympics three times. Now a professional paratriathlete, has won the 2019 ASTC Asian Championships for the third year in a row and is aiming to qualify and represent Japan at the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo.

- 2nd place at the 2019 Banyoles ITU Paratriathlon World Cup
- 1st place at the 2019 Gyeongju ASTC Triathlon Asian Championships
- 3rd place at the 2018 Lausanne ITU Paratriathlon World Cup

- 5th place at the 2019 WPS Yokohama
- 10th place at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games
