The Galapagos CAMTRI Sprint Triathlon American Cup will take place in Puerto Ayora, Santa Cruz Island, Galápagos Archipelago, Republic of Ecuador, on Saturday the 8th of October, 2016.  The following information is for the Sprint Distance Trhiathlon American Cup, but an Open Ocean Swim and a Marathon, 21K and 10K are going to take place the 7th (Galapagos Open Water Swim) and 9th (Cross Island Marathon) of October.  More information on the aforementioned events in http://www.triatlongalapagos.com

The Pre Race Briefing, and Participation Package Delivery are going to take place at the Parque San Francisco of Puerto Ayora the previous afternoon (Package delivery 15h00 to 18h00; Pre Race Briefing 18h30).

In order to arrive to Puerto Ayora in the Galapagos Islands on time for the Package Delivery and Pre Race Briefing, the delegations must make their flight arrangements to arrive to BALTRA AIRPORT no later than the 7th of October.  The airlines serving Baltra Airport are LATAM, AVIANCA and TAME.  Book your flights in advance to avoid over pricing.

Cycling 20 Kms, Starts at the Transition Zone going north through Baltra Avenue and the road to Bellavista to reach the 2.5 Kms mark, clearly identified by the organizing committee.  There is another Return Point (where Baltra Avenue becomes one way only) nearby the Transition Zone.  This circuit must be completed 4 times. Running, 5 Kms in Puerto Ayora to receive support from the entire village and visitors.  The circuit must be completed 2 times.  At the hydration /return point, athletes will be provided with an elastic band to put on their wrist as a reminder of the number of times they have completed the circuit.

The Awards ceremony will take place the 8th of October at 18h30, at the Parque San Francisco.

2nd. 450 USD
3rd. 300 USD
